An Ilorin Area Court on Monday dissolved a three-year-old marriage between Lukuman Ibrahim and Saidat Lukuman, over the wife’s hot temper nature.
Ibrahim, 44, a resident of Edun Area, Ilorin, had earlier prayed the court to dissolve his marriage to Saidat, for her bad behaviour.
The petitioner told the court that his wife was too aggressive and had an uncontrollable manner.
”My wife gets provoked easily and talks to people around her anyhow not minding her manners,” he said.
According to him, the marriage was contracted in 2010 and had produced one male child, Isiaka.
”My Lord, I want an end to this marriage because I cannot contain her hot nature anymore,” said the complainant.
The defendant did not object to the prayer of her husband, saying she was ready to part ways with her husband.
”My husband always complain and condemn everything I do and that provokes me to react against his wish,” she said.
She, however, prayed the court to grant the prayer of her husband without any claims.
The Presiding Judge, Mr Yusuf Abdulkareem, dissolved the marriage and issued a certificate of divorce to the plaintiff.
