Nigerians should exercise patience and allow President Goodluck Jonathan more time to fix the country, youths under the auspices of Niger-Delta Youths for Positive Change, NDYPC, have said.
Speaking to newsmen in Warri, the group’s national president, Comrade Biayeibo Preye, said the President was living up to expectations, citing his [Goodluck Jonathan] achievements in the areas of repairs and construction of new federal roads, local and international airports, privatisation of the power sector and many more.
He said the group never knew that a President from Niger-Delta could be the first to take the country to such a laudable height.
“Niger-Delta region has all the reasons to celebrate with President Jonathan, if for nothing, but for the amnesty programme in which about 30,000 N-Delta youths have found productive engagement.”
“The amnesty programme collectively initiated by late President Yar’Adua and President Jonathan has drastically reduced criminality in the region,” he said.
On the 2015 presidential race and emergence of the new PDP, he said the division orchestrated by the G7 governors was merely to intimidate South-South region, asserting, “The splinter group of seven governors and their supporters cannot stop Jonathan re-election.”
Preye alleged that the plan of the seven governors was to frustrate the rapid development of the country, saying they should be punished accordingly.

He has stayed in that over for more than four years. Even the blind could see that GoodLuck is a weakling and ‘banana-stem’. If he couldn’t do anything meaningful so far, he can never produce results even in everlasting. God forbid!!! I have never participated in voting before. 4. Job creations through SURE-P, WAED, U WIN, NPA, NIPP, ITF e.t.c and direct foreign investment policies.
5. Establishing of 9 new federal univ.
6. Awarding of new Niger bridge and completion of ova nine federal roads including Enugu/PH xpress way.
7. Renovation of 3rd mainland bridge
8. Reviving of NIPOST and payment of both PHCN /NIPOST gratiuty.
9. Construction of 3 hundred almajiri schools and awarding of over 6 dam projects.
10. Approved the increase and payment of #19,800 to corpers.
11. Establishment of law school in Bayelsa and uppgrading of Enugu airport 2 an international airport.
12. Improved local content xportation and approved and commissioned the first naija made car in Anambra.
13. Upgrade and renovated Lagos, PH and Kaduna refinaries up to 80% performance as against 40%.
14. Approved the recruitment of female cardets in NDA.
15. Has been able to maintain peace in the country without any external assistance, amids pressure frm the northerners who careless of the security challenges and are focused on 2015 which they beliv is their birth right.
16. Cutail corruption by removing subsidy which affect the big wigs who in turn are fighting him 2day cos he tempared wit their secret.
17. Approved #18,000 minimum wage 4workers.
18. Jst won a permanent seat in UN 4Nigeria.
19. Has respectd the wishes of Nigerians by approving national conference.
20. Approved SSANU’s demand and they are back 2work.
21. Has improved the youths and sport sector leading 2d wining of golds in major events.
Though, no leader is an island, challenges will neva seize, bt we beliv dat God is on his side as he has released #130b 4 ASUU and has jst promiz 2 release #200b again, that is a sign of solution and shame 2 those politicians instigating ASUU nt 2go back 2class even wen Rome was neva build in one day nor a man born a man wit out a boy stage, they feel everything must be done thesame time. .
