Mba, off to France, May Not Feature in Next Month’s CHAN.

Sunday Mba is expected to leave the Super Eagles team B camp for France where he will join Bastia- the French Ligue 2 side with whom early contract agreement for the services of the Afcon 2013 revelation fell through in August.

Head coach Stephen Keshi has therefore expressed doubts about the possibility of the Warri Wolves playmaker featuring in next month’s African Nations Championship (CHAN).

“We have resigned ourselves to fate and working hard to discover those who can fill Mba’s shoes, as he seems to have nicked a deal with Bastia and may not be part of CHAN tourney,” Assistant coach Daniel Amokachi told reporters in Abuja.

Amokachi further said the player was not one of those listed for Saturday’s friendly match in Port Harcourt against a selected side.

“We just need to brace up and wish him the best because it’s a career thing,” he added.

Nigeria has been pitched with hosts South Africa, Mali and Mozambique in Group A of the tournament organised for players within the continent.
