Federer Eases Into Fourth Round

Fourth seed Roger Federer sealed a comfortable 6-3, 6-1, 6-3 victory over Santiago Giraldo of Colombia under the Centre Court roof on Saturday.

The Swiss number two, who lost out in the second round last year, is yet to have his serve broken at the All England Club so far this year en-route to the second week of the tournament.

“I got off to a good start and broke right away,” said the seven-time champion. “I stayed in control until midway through the third set when he had a couple of break points at 15-40. Next thing I had break points of my own and got them and served it out.

He will face either Spain’s Tommy Robredo, who beat 15th seed Jerzy Janowicz 6-2, 6-4, 6-7, 4-6, 6-3, in the fourth round on Monday.
