Itsekiri Youth Feud Settled, Nobody Missing – Police

Police authorities in Delta State, Friday, said the fresh hostility between Ijaw and Itsekri youths in Warri, had been resolved and nobody was missing.

Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in the state, DSP Celestina Kalu, told Saturday Vanguard, that the Area Commander, Warri, called a peace meeting between the leadership of Ogbe-Ijaw and Ugbo-Mefa (Itsekiri) youths over the face-off , where they buried the hatchet.

Itsekiri and Ijaw youths reportedly clashed in front of the gate of an oil servicing firm, SAIPEN, near the Nigeria Ports Authority, NPA, Warri, some days ago.

Her words, “A peaceful meeting of the two communities was called by the Area Commander, Warri, where the youths under the leadership of Chief P.D. Yalaju for Ugbe –Mefa and Hon. Lucky Oromoni for Ogbe-Ijaw discussed the issues amicably and they came up with a report that nobody was missing as alleged.”
