Ideye Scores First Premier League Goal In Baggies Defeat

Brown Ideye opened his Premier League account in a 3-1 defeat of his side West Bromwich Albion by Manchester City on snowy Boxing Day.

The Baggies were down by three goals after 34 minutes as the Premier League champions stamped their authority on the proceedings via a comfortable first-half display.

It hailed so hard in the second half and manager Alan Irvine then decided to introduce the club record signing from Spartak Moscow 6 minutes after the hour mark having watched his side dominate but struggle to find the breakthrough.

The Nigeria international rescued at least some pride for the Hawthorns crowd with three minutes left, seeing the ball come off the back of his head into the net from a Chris Brunt cross.

Ideye has now scored twice for the Midland outfit following his summer transfer.
