Adamawa 2015: I’ll Ensure Nobody Steals Public Funds, If Elected Governor – Ribadu

Nuhu-Ribadu2The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Nuhu Ribadu, has described corruption as an epidemic that has scuttled the growth and development of the state in particular and the nation at large.

The former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission boss, however, promised to use his experience to fight corruption in Adamawa State if voted into office as the next governor of the state.

Ribadu made the promise at an interactive town hall meeting of Jimeta residents at Lelewal Motel at the weekend. The event was organised by the Ribadu Awareness Network.

“We will work together to eradicate corruption which is the bane of underdevelopment of the country particularly Adamawa State”, Mr. Ribadu said. “Corruption is the cause of the many problems bedeviling the country including insurgencies”.

According to the PDP guber candidate, government’s failure to provide jobs for the youth had forced some of them to become restive. He also said he would work assiduously to create jobs for the people.

“Adamawa money is meant for you people, for the development of our state and I can assure you that nobody will steal the money that belongs to you. I will utilize it for the intended purpose”, Mr. Ribadu said.

He also assured the physically challenged at the town hall meeting that they are part of the society and whatever gain in the government would be across the board for everyone.
