Jeffrey Shclupp Signs Long-Term Contract at Leicester

Ghanaian defender Jeffrey Schlupp has penned a four-year deal at Leicester City, which will keep him at the King Power stadium until 2019.

Schlupp, who, only last year, signed a three-year deal, made 32 league appearances for the Foxes on his track to been named the players’ and young player of the year at the club’s gala.

He has been linked with Arsenal and Aston Villa this summer.

Leicester avoided Premier League relegation last season, claiming 19 points from a possible 24 in their last eight games.

Schlupp, who was at some point employed in a midfield role, joined the club as an 11-year-old and had a brief trial at Manchester United in January 2013.

His first international goal came in the 7-1 demolition of Mauritius in this month’s 2017 Aftica Cup of Nations qualifier.
