Flying Eagles Skipper Signs for Turkish Super Lig Club- Report

Nigeria Under-20 international Musa Mohammed has signed a three-year contract with an option for a further year with Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir FK, AfricanFootball.

The report added that Musa was to have penned for another Turkish club Besiktas following his trial with the Super Lig side in the previous year, but they “failed to meet their obligations.”

German Bundesliga side Hamburg SV and Rosenborg of Norway are the other European sides to have shown interest in the Flying Eagles skipper.

Istanbul Basaksehir FK finished 4th in the Turkish top flight last season and will feature in the Uefa Europa League in the forthcoming campaign.

The club have embarked on a massive restructuring project with support from the government of Turkey.

The former FC Heart of Abuja defender, 18, featured for the Nigeria U-20 team at last month’s Fifa World Cup in New Zealand. He captained the Under-17 national team to a record fourth Fifa World Cup triumph in the UAE in 2013.
