Man Utd & PSG Reach Agreement Over Di Maria Transfer- Report

Manchester United and Paris St Germain have agreed on a €63m (about £45m) fee for the transfer of Argentine Angel Di Maria to the French capital, according to reports in France.

Both clubs have been locked in negotiation, with the French champions reportedly frustrated by United’s effort towards recovering more from the sale of the player they signed for a British transfer record £59.7m from Real Madrid in August, 2014.

However, the midfielder, 27, struggled to impress the Old Trafford fans and manager Louis van Gaal in his first season, scoring three goals in 27 league appearances.

Di Maria is likely to fly to New Jersey, where PSG are currently having their pre-season training, on arrival to the United States to join up with his Man United team-mates after an extended period of break, having being granted an extended period of rest following the Copa America.

He is expected to sign a deal between four to five years duration.

A prospective deal is subject to discussion of personal terms between the player and PSG and a medical, which could be conducted in New York next week.

United and PSG are yet to issue a statement concerning the speculation.

Louis van Gaal’s men recently signed defenders Memphis Depay and Matteo Darmian and midfielders Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin.
