Indications emerged last night that President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Mrs Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita, as the new Head of Service.
Oyo-Ita’s appointment, follows the removal of Danladi Kifasi as Head of Service by the president on Tuesday.
Mr Kifasi was due to retire on January, 1, 2016 when he will clock 60.
His last day would have been December 31, 2015 and he would have proceeded on three months pre-retirement leave since the beginning of October, if he were to observe his terminal leave.
Mrs. Oyo-Ita, who was the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology before her appointment as the new Head of Service, is a chartered accountant, who hails from Cross River State.
The 51-year-old civil servant is to be the new Head of Service in an acting capacity, though the office does not require Senate approval but a direct presidential appointment.
Pls help. I retired from the Fed. Min of Environment as a Chief Programmer/Analyst on Gl. 14 since July, 2017. II filed my application for my NHF Refund in August, which my Ministry sent their corrected version on Oct 20, 2017. My till now I have not been paid the NHF from Area 2 branch of the FMB where the application was sent. My Ministry has on her part not paid my DTA for an ICT conference I attended in Kaduna since October, 2016; my repatriation allowance; my promotion arrears; my pension/gratuity and not even the monthly pensions intended to sustain retirees. Pls help to salvage the situation.
