Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom has denied reports that 81 people were killed in communities in the state on Saturday. Governor Ortom made the remarks while paying a visit to the Minister of interior, Lt Gen (rtd), Abdulrahman Damabazau.

He went ahead to call the reports of the killings in the media rumors and called on news agencies to stop spreading the rumors.
