NITDA Donates ICT Centre To Abuja NYSC

The National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, has donated an Information Communication Technology centre, ICT, to the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Abuja.

The ICT centre which consists of 15 desktop computers, printers, photocopiers, scanners, projectors, spiral binding machine and a solar energy system was on Friday commissioned by the Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier-General Sule Zakari Kazaure.

The NYSC boss in his appreciation speech, thanked the agency for their kind gesture and appealed to other stakeholders to invest in the scheme to empower youths for development of the country.

Also speaking at the commissioning, the co-coordinator of the FCT NYSC, Mr Omotayo Adewoye, said that the ICT centre would also be used as cyber cafe to generate funds for the scheme.

The Director-General of NITDA, Dr Vincent Olatunji, tasked the managers of the ICT centre on maintenance, adding that similar gesture would be extended to NYSC camps nationwide.
