Minister For Women Affairs, Aisha Jumai Alhassan slumps At IDP Camp

Minister for Women Affairs, Aisha Jumai Alhassan, was yesterday alleged to have slumped at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Fufore local government area of Adamawa State, North-east, Nigeria.

According to a report by The Guardian, the minister was inspecting foodstuffs at the camp’s store when she lost her balance. As the former Senator was getting help from her aides, security personnel attached to her quickly prevented journalists from taking pictures of the incident by engaging them in physical combat.

Earlier, the federal minister had addressed the IDPs saying, her visit was on the directive of the President to investigate the allegations of rape and children abuse in camps in the Northeast. She urged the IDPs to believe the present government and that very soon they would be back to their ancestral homes.
