‘Operation Arrest All Stray Animals’ Begins In Kogi State

The Kogi State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Mrs Rosemary Ojochenemi Osikoya, yesterday, disclosed that her ministry’s clampdown on all stray animals has started yielding positive results.

Osikoya stated this while confirming the arrests of four goats, four sheep and two kids, at the premises of the new State secretariat in Lokoja.

According to her, ‘Operation arrest all stray animals’ has begun in Lokoja. The Kogi State Sanitation and Waste Management Board (KGSSWMB) Law 2013, provides for payment of fine within 48 hours of arrest and an option of auction after 3 days.
