Pre-sales is the function that provides product expertise to sales, customers & partners in Oracle.

Oracle has a large community of pre-sales consultants across EMEA that engage on a daily basis in tasks such as:

· Product presentations & demonstrations

· Advise customers & partners on how best to use Oracle products

· Respond to tenders

· Interact with product development about new releases and new functionality

As a pre-sales consultant you have the chance to develop in a very broad spectrum, ranging from product expertise, customer interaction, communication and general IT market knowledge.

Successful pre-sales consultants are in high demand and have the opportunity to pursue a career path both in pre-sales and in many different IT and non-IT functions.

The Benelux Business Intelligence pre-sales team is tasked with supporting the Benelux field sales, customers & partners in a diverse number of ways, ranging from answering to tenders, customizing & delivering demos and proofs of concept to directly supporting partners and/or customers with specific requests.

Good commercial sense is a key requirement as we aim to grow our Business Intelligence presence, presenting our solution should always reflect the immediate and long term benefit for our customers.

A pro-active attitude and a bias for action are key characteristics that we are looking for.

Responsibilities:
* Proactively support sales teams in positioning Business Intelligence Solutions as a key differentiator in typical BI cycles or as part of a broader Oracle Solution
* Creating customized BI demos
* Create infrastructure draft proposals (Proposed architecture, Sample Architecture, Supported Platform and sizing information)
* Maintain in depth and up to date knowledge of relevant business drivers & typical customer needs
* Maintain up to date knowledge of competitive solutions and winning strategies
* Collaborate with other pre-sales teams to drive business results, enhance win rates and better customer propositions
* Actively develop product expertise
* Attend adequate product trainings; read relevant collateral, analyst reports, white papers, competitive documents etc.
* Format and answer Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal (Oracle Corporate Questions, Product Questions with thorough answers, Architecture and Infrastructure Questions)

Desired Skills & Experience
* Your background could be from pre-sales, inside sales, or as a consultant.
* Good understanding of the IT market/trends
* University degree or an equivalent technical/IT education
* Knowledge of and experience with of Business Intelligence products such as Oracle, I

BM-Cognos, SAP-Business Objects, SAS, Microsoft, Information Builders or QlikTech
* Good knowledge of underlying databases, datawarehouse architecture and ETL processes
* Experience (more than simple user level) with one or more operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix)

* An analytical thinker with a proven ability to translate complex business needs into feasible, valuable solutions

* Knowledgeable of sales methodologies, processes and disciplines and have the ability to positively contribute towards sales processes
* Strong at planning and organizing with a very good ability to meet project deadlines

* Effective at communicating with excellent presentation skills
* Good at building effective relationships with a strong customer service focus
* Results orientation, you won’t be satisfied until the job is done with the right quality!
* Self motivated, you have the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges
