Chelsea Vs Manchester United: Who Wins Tonight’s Encounter?

As Chelsea take on Manchester United tonight (8:45pm) in a Capital One cup fourth round tie at Stamford bridge, boss Roberto Di Matteo has the onerous task of getting his players to focus solely on football amid the fallout from Sunday’s explosive Premier League defeat to United.

The Blues will be without the suspended Captain John Terry, Fernando Torres and Branislav Ivanovic, and the injured Frank Lampard, which leaves the door open for youngsters, George Saville and Nathan Ake.

Meanwhile, Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson is set to ring the changes, with a number of youngsters set to feature on the night.

The likes of Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand are set for a night off, while Michael Keane, Marnick Vermijl and Scott Wootton, who all started in the win over Newcastle in the previous round, will be hopeful of a recall.

Shinji Kagawa will be out for the next month with a knee injury, while this game has come to soon for defenders Chris Smalling (broken metatarsal) and Phil Jones (back and knee problems). Nemanja Vidic is still absent with a knee injury.
