covenantuniversityThe over 120 students expelled from Covenant University, Ota in Ogun state, last November, can now heave a sigh of relief as indications have emerged that Faith based institution, owned by renowned preacher, Bishop David Oyedepo, has agreed to lessen the ‘harsh’ punishment to 4 weeks suspension.

The students were expelled for not attending a university assembly – a common and compulsory practice associated with the institution. Sources say the students are expected to rejoin their colleagues for academic activities sometime this month or early February.
