  1. Hahahaha. I laugh in French. I work at the National Assembly accts department. I don’t knw where you guys get your info from. But this is totally wrong. U only got the wardrobe allowance right. It’s totally wrong. Get your facts right

      • @ anonymous, u agree with d Wardrobe allowance: 25% = N621,061.37. To u isn’t this much? Hw do u think d current vises will ever stop. It is d xces money they are using to finance militancy, Boko Haram, why wil our election not b ‘ do-or-die affair’ $ al d rest. Until our leaders have a rethink things wil continue to remain like this if not worse. May God help our country Nigeria

    • If u work there, provide the correct info and please kindly stop laughing in french. Do u sincerely believe that a wardrobe allowance of over 600, 000 serves the interest our country. That is cruel. People do genuine jobs and they are padi less than 20k a month and a senator who was elected by theses same people takes that same amount many times over just to buy babanriga. Absolute nonsense

    • festus may be rite,bc u cannot pay vehicle allw, accommodation allw, maintainace allw, leave allw, one off payment, furniture allw.etc in every month.they are paid once in every yr.we knw d senators pay is high, but not as high as be over blow above.pls always furnish nigerians wit accurate information.thank you

  2. I am currently laughing at the FG. Ask me why?
Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iwuala recently told us that Nigeria’s debt is above one million dollars. So imagine where the salaries of these senators are reduced to 40 per cent. Won’t Nigeria be able to clear off the bill and still have enough to fix our infrastructure?
Again, why do they borrow money? Is it not to fix our economy? So, why are they sharing the money in the name of “salaries and allowances”? Must they be paid more than the teachers, lecturers and professors? In fact, why must a senator earn more than a teacher?
This is disgusting. Maybe until the youths march to Aso Rock and really rock that place, nothing will be done.

  3. Oh,that is why they kill one another to get there. A professor does not even get such salary. Na wha for these leaders oh; & to think they said NO to paying just #19,000 to unemployed graduates, uhmmm.

  4. If this infomation about d sanators salaries and allowances is anytin to go by, then I must say Nigeria as a country is in a deep mess and will continue to be until Nigerians resolves to break dis Evil YOKE……

  5. Mr Anonymous, please do us all a favour and provide the correct salaries and allowances and stop laughing in french, I don’t think the breakdown above would be very far from the actual loot they take home every month. Funny thing is they don’t actually do anything other than make arguments which been carefully prepared for them by researchers who in turn would not be half as well paid . The most unfortunate situation is that, they make the laws that determine houw much they earn, it is therefore not likely that their earnings would be cut down anytime soon. I weep for my country and the bunch of looters who care nothing for the poor masses. Every day I see on TV stories of persons who require as little as 2million Naira for some surgery and they can’t get it… God help us.

  6. Please can you be brave. Your catch line says ‘REVEALED’ and you are saying ‘alleged’ in the content. Which tells me there is no substance to this or proper investigation carried out. I am not down for rubbish stories that says ‘revealed, look, watch.’ Be more professional and do more investigation.

    • My frend accomodation, furniture, transportation, vehicle maintenance & so on r payed monthly. Its either harmonised or consilidated salary scale, wateva dez guyz r running d country dry & killing dis country.

  7. If sudan and some less resources endowed african nation will be given only 9jas NASS annual income as annual budget for 5 stratagic yrs, their patriotism will place them ahead of nigeria. Some families need atleast N500 to feed themselves daily yet it is far from them. Lets improve our common sense of integrity and love. Let our national anthem and pledge stand for what it is or we change it to conform to the present.
Funny enough, the unbelievable figures as salaries of a very few nigerians cannot stop them from blocking others and hungry for much more. God is still at work with every oath of office. Watch out!

  8. After reading dis news, me and my friends are currently crying. They’ve killed us. 9ja. Youths, where are u? National youth councile whats happening? National association of Nigeria student where are u? N.L.C, are u sleeping? Once again i think we need to go out to the streets, block d roads with our barners, put flames on tires and say enough is enough

    • What we need do is to take our destiny in our hand, let there be a revolution, see what egypt, and other country are doing, let us not be afraid of war, bcuz, if u need peace u must first fight a war, it only thru war that we can settle dis issue, I am not saying war is the final solution, but let dere be a serious protest 4 we to determine our constitution by ourselves and not by selected few

  9. This is very very bad on our leaders part. Our leaders re suppose to be serving us and not killing us. How re things suppose to be going well when they(so called-leaders) don’t have conscience, don’t have shame, don’t have fear of GOD. They preach with one mouth n be doing different thing. With the level of unemployment..wow!! No infrastructures.
Nelson mandela is being treated in his own country(south-africa), our leaders in this country fly abroad for every medical check. What morals are our leaders teaching the youth..just negative things. They re not accountable to anybody.
Their ideology of end justifying the means instead of the means justifying the ends will show you the kind of leadership we ve in this country. Left to me, all our leaders should be killed and our constitution should be rewritten. They should have it in our constitution, for every stealing and every lie must be punishable by hanging and there won’t be anything like adjourning. It will go a long way to teach anybody vying for a public position that u must be honest and that you are not above the law.
Our leaders should on no account fly abroad for any medical issues, if you caught, the person must resign immediately. Their children must attend their school within the country.

  10. A civil servant on grade level 14 cant even earn w@ dey earn in a mnth in a whole yr, so y wont civil servants steal n neglect their duty. If we refuse to act as masses dey wil continue to do injustice to us wit their sharing formular.

  11. U can imagine wht 1 man recieves in a month, and u expect corruption to stop in dis conutry? No way! Wht am i saying mehn dat cash is much,we knw evry body wil eat 4rm were he/she works, but dis is much. Pls our government shld do something about dis.

  12. This is jungle journalism…..dis can neva be the truth,ow can someone be earnin furniture allowance, motor vehicle loan, gratuity every month? Dis social media is fast destroying journalism as a profession.pls quote the source of ur info.

  13. If this is true then â„“ĚŠ say we re fnshd in diz con3 wot anoyz me most is No one we re trust anymur evn the so called oppositn nd hunman rght activist re only fghtn 4 their selfsh reasonz as they ve failed in all asept nd they ve nt in anyway shw any signz of dffrnce btw dem nd the pple @d centre 1can evn fink they wll do wrst if gvn d chanz. Cuz they ve appreciable numba of legislators amng diz pple nd they ve nt in any day fght diz abnomaliz buh rada prefa 2play politics on us all. God wll judge yu guyz 1day.

  14. Naija youths please too much talk and no action can’t help our situation. Irrespective of the authenticity of the post placed here we all can see what is going on, we have eyes and ears. The solution is what we should be looking for, we all recognise the problem. Me personally am tired of all these complainin. Action speaks louder any day/time chikeena!

  15. Mr anonymous, if u agree wt wardrobe allowance, it means other figures ar perfectly correct. As an acctnt , wardrobe allownc is usually d least of incentivs in most org & I know d nat assembly cnt b an exemptn. If u r a patriotic nija, den tells us d actual salary under ur anonymous identificatn.

  16. Since it is obvious dat oda allowances can’t be earned monthly except Basic Salary, it’s only rational to multiply (BS) 2,484,245.50 x 12(months) whc equals N29,801,946.00. Now add Total allowances N26,995,503.50 + annual salary N29,801,946.00 = N56,806,449.50. Correct or nt we can argue al we care, it doesnt boda dem. As a mata of fact, al d abov figures is notin compare 2 wat dey embezzle. We must undastnd dt nt until we apply ourselvs 4 CHANGE, notin CHANGES 4 us. Revolution is d way out, truly CAN’T WE?

  17. Wot must of us fail to realise is this, No average senator less than a company owner and we knw wot our directors earn not to talk of chairman of companies who is seen as alpha & Omega of the institution, They’re r used to extra vagant spending, they’re being in affluent of spending, these r the brackets of those that finds themselves at the corridor of powers in our country. To them they’re sacrificing fr u. If u there raise an eye brow they’re tell u h’w much is that$160, 0000. They’re say is still small compare to wot the country earns. It is the govt we av to blame, fr allowing our election institution to be monetry induce, celebrating money instead of what individual has in stock as in quality. God help us

  18. This materialism won’t get this country anywhere, let our leaders wear a thinking cap.Professionals are working for peanut, the privileged few are leaving the country for abroad while a senators’ Montly salary can pay a medical doctor for ten years .what an irony!!!

  19. All these senators’ defenders, I wonder whether you are not in this country when Prof. Dora Akunyili made it open to them that they consume 60% of the nations budget. They defended it and didn’t review their salaries. You may have clues to outweigh this guy’s revelation or whatever but the truth remains that those guys are eating big and bigger.

  20. We are doomed dats y all their kids were sent abroad to study wt our public money our polytechnics were on strike over 2months and nobody is talking abt it b/c their kids ar not there is time 4 REVoLuTIon period
