Open University Centre Opened in Kebbi

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) study centre is opened in Jega, Kebbi State. The state government financed the center’s facilities. Now the University has centers in nearly every state of Nigeria.

OPEN UNIThe Open University seeks to expand access to tertiary education, said Vice Chancellor of NOUN, Professor Vincent Ado Tenebe, while handing over of the facilities. He reassured that the Open University offers education fits the world standards and provides opportunity for the young Nigerians to advance their education. Professor highlighted that with the opening of the Jega centre, the Open University now has centers in virtually all the states of Nigeria.

“We also have special centers for the military, paramilitary and even prisoners. NOUN also has over 120,000 students and has gotten approval to run 30 programmes and Kebbi would be the first beneficiary for the women programme center by the university,” said Professor.
