Information Nigeria has just learnt that the Commissioner of Sports in Rivers State, Fred Igwe, has been shot by yet-to-be assailants at Eleme interchange in Port Harcourt.
The Commissioner, who escaped with injuries from the attack, is reportedly receiving medical attaention at an undisclosed hospital in the state capital.
Although the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Angela Agabe confirmed the incident, details of the attack are still sketchy.
