Emenike Urges Eagles to Recall Yobo.

Fenerbahce of Turkey striker Emmanuel Emenike wants the Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo to be recalled to the national team for “his wealth of experience”.

Since playing at the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) in South Africa, Yobo has not featured for the coach Stephen Keshi-led Eagles.

Teenage prodigy Kenneth Omeruo played the Afcon 2013 games and the Confederations Cup in place for the 95-time capped Yobo, before his shoulder injury paved way for Warri Wolves skipper Azubuike Egwekwe.

But Emenike is of the opinion that the 33-year-old veteran still has experience working for him and should be allowed to pass some to the younger generations.

“Even though it is the decision of the coach on who he invites to the national team, personally I think we still need Yobo in the team,” Emenike told MTNFootball.com.

“I play with him every week and sincerely we need his wealth of experience in the Eagles.

“I am in the Eagles doing well today is partly because of the encouragement I get from Yobo and the coach.”

“He brought me to the Super Eagles after we played against each other in a match in Turkey, before Samson Siasia came over to convince me to play for the country.”
