During last Saturday’s 1-1 draw between Inter and Juventus in the ‘Derby D’Italia’, a section of supporters targeted two of Juventus players with racist chants.

A stand will now be closed for Inter’s next home game against Fiorentina on 26 September.

Following punishments earlier handed out to Lazio and AC Milan, it will be the third time this season that a Serie A team will be penalised.

The Italian League also fined Inter 15,000 Euros.

According to Fifa’s ruling in May, teams could be relegated or expelled for serious incidents of racism, while lesser offenses will lead to matches being played behind closed doors.
