Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has said training camp for the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) commences in the first week of December, hopefully.
Nigeria will be making a debut appearance in the competition meant for players in the various domestic leagues within the African continent.
The home-based Eagles have been drawn alongside host nation South Africa, Mali and Mozambique in the group stages of the tournament slated for January 16.
“I am looking at the first week of December for us to open the CHAN camp,” said Keshi.
“But you know it’s my employers that would have the final say. So I am hoping that all things being equal in December we would begin so that we can at least have four weeks of intensive preparation for the CHAN.”
An international friendly match against Jordan has been scheduled for next Monday for the Eagles Team B and they are presently training at the Abuja national stadium.
