Anambra: CNPP Congratulates Obiano, Hails INEC, Security Agencies

The governor-elect of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has been congratulated by the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties, CNPP, for emerging victorious in the November 16 and 30 rescheduled governorship elections in the Anambra.

In a congratulatory message to Obiano by the CNPP Secretary General, Chief Willy Ezugwu, which was made available to reporters in Enugu, the group also urged candidates who lost in the election to join hands with the governor-elect to move Anambra State forward.

“I congratulate APGA and the governor elect and the people of Anambra state for this feat”, Ezugwu, a member of APGA said.

He added that “this victory is a show of confidence the people of Anambra has in APGA following the tremendous performance by the outgoing Governor Peter Obi.

“This is good for continuity, the state will be better off, as the incoming governor will in no doubt pick up from the good works governor Peter Obi instituted”.

The CNPP scribe assured people of the state of APGA’s commitment to the delivery of democracy dividends.

“We assure the people of Anambra state that APGA will continue to deliver on its electoral promises of democracy dividends to them”, he added.

The statement also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and security agencies for the peaceful and credible conduct of the election just as it stressed the need for aggrieved parties in the elections to seek redress in the law court.
