Pam, who represented Plateau State in the women’s tennis category, saw off Sarah Adegoke from Oyo State in two straight sets.

The 15-year-old student of Culford secondary school, Bury Saint Edmund, England, who aspires to be like Victoria Azarenka or Serena Williams in the future, beat her opponent 6-2, 7-5.

In the female’s handball final, Imo State won Benue 14-10 at the Abuja National Stadium. The Imo girls dedicated their victory to God, though they said it was not an easy game.

An SS2 Student of Yewa Egbado College Ilaro, Ogun State, Sarah Ogunola, claimed the 800m race in the female category.

The NYG is aimed at identifying fledgling talents of the school-going age for future successes.
