Newcastle Agrees to Sell Cabaye to PSG.

Newcastle and Paris St-Germain have agreed a fee for Frenchman Yohan Cabaye.

Magpies boss Alan Pardew had expressed his lack of confidence on keeping the 28-year-old beyond January, but a £19m deal, that could rise beyond £20m with add-ons, has now been reached.

The St. James’ Park outfit turned down a £14m bid from the Ligue 1 champions on Sunday.

Cabaye will fly to paris for a medical on Tuesday, meaning he will not play for Newcastle against Norwich.

He refused to play for Newcastle in August after they rejected a £10m offer from Arsenal, but later apologised to the club and fans.

The attacking midfielder scored 17 goals in 79 appearances for the St. James’ Park outfit since joining from Lille Metropole for £4.3m in 2011.
