Mourinho Fined and Warned Against Future Conduct

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been fined £8,000 and warned about his future conduct after being found guilty of an Football Association (FA) charge.

The Portuguese boss denied an improper conduct charge after he came on to the pitch at Villa Park to speak to referee Chris Foy following midfielder Ramires’ dismissal against Aston Villa on March 5.

The charge was however proven at a personal hearing with an independent regulatory commission on Wednesday.

The Chelsea boss was critical of Foy after the game at Villa Park as the ‘Blues’s’ lead was reduced to four points.

He said he was trying to speak to the referee because Ramires was pushed by Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor, who likewise stormed the pitch from the bench after being substituted.
