The NFF to Pay Keshi Four Months Salary Arrears and Three Months in Advance

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) says the senior national team technical crew will be paid their four months salary backlog and three months upfront.

The NFF publicity chairman Chief Emeka Inyama, who disclosed this to newsmen at a media parley in Abuja, also hinted that the outstanding salaries of all national team coaches- including the ousted ones- are being processed and will be paid next week.

“As we speak, the four months outstanding salaries for coaches of the Super Eagles are being processed for payment. Hopefully they will get their alert tomorrow [today]. We are also working towards paying the salaries of the coaches of the team up till the month of June, before the start of the FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil,” Inyama said.

The NFF spokesman further stressed that their is no breakdown in relationship between the federation and the Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi.

“We have a normal, cordial relationship with Keshi and we appreciate what he has done for the Senior National Team. He has worked magic, but the truth is that no tree makes a forest. The support of the NFF has also been total and key to the successes that the team has achieved over the past two and half years,” Inyama added.

“There is no frosty or icy relationship between NFF and Keshi, and we believe the hullabaloo being created is the work of the fifth columnist.”
