Coach Stephen Keshi is not expected to enlist Ramon Azeez for Saturday’s crucial Group F game against Bosnia-Hercegovina.
The Almeria of Spain midfielder is reportedly not favoured for a starting role by a section of the team, which one of the top officials refers to as “the big boys.”
“Ramon is highly-rated by coach Stephen Keshi, but some of the senior players in the team were shouting on him during the match against Iran,” an anonymous top official is quoted as saying on AfricanFootball.com. “This unsettled the boy”
Meanwhile Osaze Odemwingie is looks likely to be named in coach Stephen Keshi’s start list for the decisive match.
“The coach had to choose between Osaze and Shola Ameobi for the same role for the Bosnia match,” he added.
Chelsea winger Victor Moses will also start the match from the bench, as Ukraine-based Babatunde Michael prepares to earn his 6th Nigeria cap.
Joseph Yobo will edge just a game short of his century, standing in for the injured Godfrey Obaobona.
