Suarez Back in Uruguay Training After Surgery

Luis Suarez has been involved in full training with Uruguay for the first time since his knee operation.

The Liverpool marksman went through the knife on May 21 to repair meniscus damage, after complaining of “intense pain” during training.

He took part in a session on Thursday ahead of Uruguay’s opening Group D game against Costa Rica on Saturday.

Suarez’s team-mate, Diego Forlan, is also back, having recovered from stomach bug.

Suarez, 27, scored 31 times for Liverpool last season, as the ‘Reds’ finished runners-up to champions Manchester City.

Uruguay will play England on 19th June before a final group face off with Italy.
