Manchester United assistant coach Ryan Giggs has bagged a honorary doctorate from the University of Bolton in recognition of his outstanding contribution to sport.
Until his retirement from professional football in May, Giggs made a record 963 appearances for the Old Trafford club and earned 64 Wales caps.
He had a short stint as interim manager of the club following David Moyes’ sack.

He will works with new manager Louis van Gaal next season as assistant coach.
