Cee-Lo-NEWmainpub-credit-Matthias-ClamerGrammy-winning singer and producer, Cee Lo Green who was scheduled to headline the Gretna Heritage Festival in Louisiana on October 5, has been dropped as the headline act of an annual Louisiana music festival following his brush with the law.

This comes days after the singer tweeted his controversial opinions about rape on Monday and deleting his Twitter account just days after pleading no contest to furnishing a woman with ecstasy.

His television show, The Good Life has also been cancelled.

The 39-year-old made the shocking statements about rape while replying to Twitter users’ comments on his drug case.

He tweeted,

‘If someone is passed out they’re not even WITH you consciously! so WITH Implies consent,’ he tweeted and added later, ‘People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!’

He at first deleted all of his tweets and took down his Twitter account but he later restored his account and tweeted an apology on Tuesday.
