The divorce saga between Pastor Chris and Anita Oyakhilome ,President & Vice-President of the Believers Love World aka Christ Embassy has left many of their members broken hearted with some taking sides with Pastor Chris and some others with Pastor Anita.
TheCable, an online news medium, was the 1st to break the news of their separation. Rev. Anita Oyakhilome filed for divorce from her estranged husband Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, citing irreconcilable differences bordering on alleged adultery and misbehaviour. The case with suit no. FD14D01650 was filed on 9th April 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn in London.
According to City People Magazine who initiated contact with Anita’s lawyers, Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors a UK-based full-service law firm, Stephen Goddard stated that:
“It is with great sadness that our client, Pastor Anita Oyakhilome, has come to the conclusion that her marriage to Pastor Christian Oyakhilome has irretrievably broken down and regrettably there is no hope of any reconciliation. We can confirm that Pastor Anita Oyakhilome has commenced divorce proceedings in London as she resides in the UK.”
It quite unfortunate if this is true. After so many years of marriage, and for the very fact that she is not just an ordinary house wife but as a pastor, what is this going to tell about their members or those who look upto her as a mentor?
I fervently pray that this evil call divorce stop forthwith and Anita should listen to her husband’s tape titled ” If These Things Be In You”. I decree that the Spirit of the Living GOD this foolishness of calling in a third party when petty selfishness could be easily cleared off the way must stop in JESUS CHRIST NAME! Amen! Amen!! Amen!!!

The devil attacks families in order to weaken the congregation members and thereby making them amenable to sin. This is one of the ways the devil initiates and perpetuate sin. In divorce the couples affected tend to live in perpetual bitterness which is a sin before God.The bible says Be careful not to allow any root of bitterness spring up in you from which many be defiled’
Patience and tolerance are two godly family values that we cannot do without if peace must reign and God to be served in holiness. A woman should always fight to defend and protect her family by all means no matter what her husband does, with time the man will stop the wrong he was doing if there was such and the family will come back together to maintain peace. This is good not only for our service to God but also for our good physical health. I pray for the two pastors (the Oyakhilomes) to consider their decision, repent and come back together again for the sake of peace and spiritual growth of the church so that majority can have the hope of making the rapture and heaven. Amen!
