Kwankwaso’s Remark On Jonathan His Personal Opinion – Shekarau

Ibrahim-ShekarauMinister of Education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, weekend, said the remark credited to Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State that President Goodluck Jonathan is the easiest president to unseat, was a personal opinion.

Kwankwaso, who spoke with newsmen in Ilorin, Kwara State capital on Wednesday when he attended a meeting of All Progressives Congress governors, said Jonathan is the easiest sitting president to unseat in a free and fair contest.

However, Shekarau, who is the immediate past governor of Kano State, said during election, every politician is entitled to his views and opinions, “which do not necessarily represent the reality”.

“He is entitled to his opinion. If anybody in the political arena decides to express his opinion, he is entitled to it. There’s no problem with that”, he maintained.

Speaking on the education sector, the minister said the process of accessing funds from the Tertiary Education Trust fund (TETfund) is not difficult, adding that universities only need to follow the laid down rules.
