Senator Paulinus Igwe, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs, has condemned the alleged endorsement of the former Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, by the Ebonyi State Governor, Martin Elechi, as the next governor of the state.
Igwe, who made the condemnation on Thursday while speaking at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat when he came to submit his nomination form for the governorship position, described the decision as selfish, unconstitutional and unhealthy to the development of Nigeria’s democracy.
