Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has suffered a suspected groin strain and could be out for three weeks,” according to Croatia team officials.
Modric picked up the injury during Croatia’s 1-1 draw with Italy on Sunday. The playmaker pulled up just before the half-hour mark of the Group H qualifier at the San Siro and was replaced by Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
A Croatia national team spokesperson said: “(Modric) would be out for three weeks”
If confirmed, Modric would miss Real Madrid’s away trip to UEFA Champions League group opponents Basel on November 26.
