Dream Team VI Ousts Gabon 2-0 in All-Africa Games Qualifier

Nigeria Under-23 team saw off Gabon 2-0 to progress in their All-Africa Games qualification campaign, 6-1 on aggregate.

The Dream Team VI will now face Zambia, who were awarded a walkover after Mozambique pulled out of the just concluded round of qualifiers.

The Coach Samson Siasia led side came into Saturday’s reverse on the back of their 4-1 thrashing of the Gabonese on the road a couple of weeks ago.

Both sides went into the break with scores evenly poised at 0-0 at the Abuja National Stadium.

Defender Seun Oduduwa broke the deadlock in the 68th minute via a superb long-range shot. Junior Ajayi closed out victory for Nigeria three minutes to the dead.
