The Governor-elect of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, has promised to run an all-inclusive government that would serve people of the state irrespective of ethnic, religious and political backgrounds.
This is just as he called on people of the state to pray for the incoming All Progressives Congress administration to discharge its duties, adding, “Almighty God has answered the prayers of people of Plateau State and Nigeria at large. This victory is for the people and I promise to run an all-inclusive government. We will govern Plateau people with fairness, while promoting unity and peace”.
The governor-elect spoke at an event organized by the National Chairman of Council of Ulama of Jaamatul Izalatul Bidia Wa Ikamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheik Sani Yahaya Jingir in Jos, the state capital.
Earlier in his remarks, Sheik Jingir said people of the state have spoken through their votes, adding “The mandate conferred upon you is proof of the peoples’ confidence in you. You must always speak the truth, stand by the truth and discharge your duties with the fear of God. Plateau people have demonstrated their unity in your and you must strengthen this unity”.
