One Moses Abiodun, alleged to be a pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church, CAC in Ikota, Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo state, has been arrested by the state Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC for allegedly burying fetish items inside his church.
The state Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr. Fasiu Adeyinka, confirmed to newsmen on Thursday that the 34-year-old suspect was arrested on Wednesday following information that he allegedly performed rituals in the church.
“We got a tip-off that the suspect was the founder of the C.A.C and he was alleged to have buried some substances inside his church.
“Our men quickly swung into action and went to the church where some fetish items were exhumed.
“He was asked to dig some spots inside the church where various items such as a cow and pigeon head, big clay pot, white clothes and other charms were exhumed at the entrance and inside the church,” Adeyinka added.
While urging the people of the state to be very vigilant and always give useful information to the corps, the commandant said the command had started investigation into the matter, adding that the pastor was still in the NSCDC’s custody.
