Buhari To Host Biya Of Cameroon Today At Presidential Villa

Biya-BuhariPresident Paul Biya of Cameroon will, at the invitation of President Muhammadu Buhari, begin a two-day working visit to Nigeria today (Tuesday).

The Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina, made this known in a statement on Monday.
According to the statement, President Biya would be accompanied on the visit by his wife, Chantal, and senior government officials.

Adesina said Biya would be received Tuesday afternoon at the Presidential Villa in Abuja by President Buhari following which, they and their officials would hold talks on issues of common interest to Nigeria and Cameroon.
Some of the issues to be discussed include ongoing bilateral and regional cooperation against terrorism, violent extremism and cross-border crimes.

According to the statement, it is expected that new agreements to strengthen existing ties as well as trade and economic relations between Nigeria and Cameroon, will be concluded and signed before the end of Biya’s visit.
