The Senate on Thursday suspended plenary for one week to allow senators of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, actively participate in the party’s congress commencing next week.
The suspension was announced by Senate President Bukola Saraki earlier today.
Following the announcement, Senate would now resume next Thursday.
It was learnt that only six PDP senators attended Thursday’s sitting.
