Buhari Appoints Ex-Senate Leader, Ndoma-Egba As NDDC Chair

Victor Ndoma-EgbaA former leader of the Nigerian Senate, Victor Ndoma-Egba (SAN), has been appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the new Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

Also appointed was a former Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Nsima Ekere, as the managing director of the Commission.

Mr. Ndoma-Egba succeeds Ibim Semenitari, who has been the acting managing director of the commission since December 2015.

The former Senate leader, who hails from Cross River State, takes over from Bassey Ewa-Henshaw, also from the state.

Ndoma-Egba was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party until September last year when he resigned from the party and later joined the governing All Progressives Congress in November.
