Manchester United Lose 3-1 To Watford

With a 3-1 defeat to Watford at Vicarage road, Manchester United have now lost three matches in a row under Jose Mourinho.

It is the first time in thirty years Watford have managed a win against the Red Devils. It’s not a record Mourinho will be proud of and they will be some doubts as to his managerial mettle.

Is it too early to ask questions? Mourinho has now lost 13 of his last 32 competitive games as a manager.

On Sunday afternoon, United hardly looked good, with Watford taking all the initiative and Odion Ighalo missing an absolute sitter in the first half.

Capoue opened the scoring minutes later to mark his fourth goal this season. For a player who cost £6m, Mazzari must be rubbing his hands in glee.

Although United got an equalizer through Marcus Rashford, they hardly looked convincing throughout the game. Paul Pogba had yet another uninspiring game despite hitting the bar and Wayne Rooney is clearly past his best.

Watford had the last laugh eventually, as substitute Zuniga scored Watford’s second before Troy Deeney scored from the penalty spot to make the result embarrassing for the reds.
