Former Tottenham FC manager, Harry Redknapp, has accidentally run over his wife with his Range Rover.
According to The Sun, the 69-year-old was dropping his wife, Sandra, off at a shopping area near their home when her foot and coat got caught in the door of the vehicle.
Other onlookers describe how Redknapp was shaken by the incident as he cared for his wife until an ambulance. He travelled with his wife to hospital in the ambulance.
Sandra was on Wednesday night being attended to by her husband in hospital as she waited for surgery for her injuries, according to The MailOnline.
A spokesperson for the local ambulance service was quoted in The Telegraph saying about the incident, “We were called at 11.49 a.m. to Poole Road, in Bournemouth“.
“There was one female casualty in her 60s. She had a foot injury and has been taken into hospital.”
Both papers report that a family source has confirmed that Sandra, 69, will be ‘okay’.
