Andy Murray Beats Novak Djokovic To Claim ATP World Tour Finals Title

Andy Murray will end the year as the men’s number 1 ranked tennis player in what has been a phenomenal year for him after winning his first ATP World Tour finals title. His win came in some style as he beat former world number one, Novak Djokovic 6-3,6-4.

29-year old Murray, who has now gone 24 matches without defeat gushed over his victory “I’m very happy to win and to be world number one is very special,” said the Scot. “It’s very special playing against Novak in a match like this.”

He was, however, not shy to admit that he didn’t expect to win, “We’ve played Grand Slam finals and Olympic finals before, but I am very happy to win.

“It is something I never expected.”
