Super Eagles technical director, Gernot Rohr has handed Leicester City forward Ahmed Musa the captain’s armband in the Super Eagles friendly games against Senegal and Burkina Faso.
A source in the team said, “Ogenyi Onazi will act as his deputy in the games against Senegal and Burkina Faso, but when John Obi Mikel is in the team, they fall back to first and second assistants.”
Mikel has not been included in the squad for the two games as he is reportedly being given time to settle at his new club Tianjin TEDA in the Chinese Super League
