FRSC officer seeks divorce after 11 years of marriage

At a Customary Court  in Lagelu, Iyana-offa, Ibadan, Oyo State, an official of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Alade Mutador, on Wednesday pleaded to the court to dissolve the 11-year-old marriage between him and his wife, Bukola Mutador, for alleged ritual practice, infidelity, dishonesty and blackmail.

The officer who lives in the Olosan-Alakia area of Ibadan, also told the court that his wife planned to end his life

He said, “My wife wanted to kill me so I left my house and I have been sleeping in office. I caught her several times with another man. Whenever she committed adultery, she would go into bathroom to take spiritual bath.

“I reported to her parents many times, but her father told me that if I was not comfortable with her, I should go for a dissolution of the marriage.”

The wife denied committing adultery. She pleaded the court to grant her custody of the children.

The President of the court, Mr. Ogungbenle, granted Alade’s request and ordered him to provide three months’ accommodation for Bukola. He also granted him custody of two of their children, while the other two children would live with their mother.
