What AC Milan Coach, Gennaro Gattuso, Said After His Team Were Dumped Out Of Europa League By Olympiacos Would Leave You Thrilled As A Football

AC Milan have been dumped out of Europa league by Olympiacos after failing to secure a draw during their last group stage fixture against the Greek side yesterday.

Gennaro Gattuso side went into the clash knowing that a draw would send them into the round of 32 of the Europe’s tie B competition but they were beaten 3-1 by the host.

Former AC Milan defensive midfielder, Gennaro Gattuso, who took over the helms  during the summer transfer windows then reveal how frustrated he is by his team’s lack of cutting edge that ultimately saw them being dumped out of the competition. He made this revelation during the post match conference.

What he said:

The great atmosphere in Greece is nothing new, the fans are the twelfth man on the pitch, but they do not play. I was well aware that Olympiacos would be a tough opponent for us, just like Real Betis. We had the misfortune to have to decide our fate on the last matchday here and we were too naive. Technically, the team got the finishing phase wrong. We have to improve on concentration and covering the pitch better.
