The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) recorded a huge victory in the governorship re-run election in the local government of the speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.
PDP polled 478 votes to defeat incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mohammed Abubakar, who polled 101 votes in Mallar A and Mallar B polling units in Mwari ward in Bogoro Local Government Area. An area which has 1,130 registered voters
